Business Development & Marketing Executive

Hybrid working
Up to £40,000 + benefits

A leading boutique law firm is seeking an enthusiastic Business Development & Marketing Executive to support the firm’s growth, profile, and client engagement. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a high-performing BD & Marketing team and work across the full mix of business development, marketing, communications, and client intelligence.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, Partners, and fee-earners, supporting strategic initiatives and helping drive the firm’s market presence.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on role covering both BD and marketing activity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Legal Directories (Essential Experience Required)
    • Managing and delivering high-quality submissions for Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, and Spear’s.
    • Coordinating matter highlights, deadlines, referee processes, and partner engagement.
    • Analysing rankings feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance the firm’s profile.

  • Business Development & Client Growth

    • Supporting BD initiatives including targeting, market research, curated events, and cross-practice collaboration.
    • Developing BD content and materials for pitches, proposals, and client engagement.
    • Maintaining BD resources and information on the firm’s intranet.
  • CRM & Client Intelligence

    • Coordinating CRM activity and supporting the rollout and optimisation of new CRM technology.
    • Ensuring data integrity and helping track new business opportunities.

About You

  • Minimum two years’ experience in BD and/or marketing within professional services.
  • Legal directories experience is essential; candidates without this will not be progressed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Confident working independently and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with events, external suppliers, and CRM systems.
  • Proficient with standard tech applications; familiarity with AI tools is a bonus.
