This is a varied and highly collaborative role, offering the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning, drive cross-selling opportunities and support profitable revenue growth, while developing your skills within a supportive and high-performing team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of strategic business development plans for the TMT/IP practice, driving growth across key product areas and supporting profitable revenue generation.
- Ensure local TMT/IP and client targeting strategies are aligned with global business development priorities, firmwide objectives and broader growth ambitions.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Corporate Division as part of the Corporate Business Development leadership team, identifying and delivering opportunities for cross-practice collaboration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the global Business Development & Marketing function, fostering connectivity, knowledge sharing and alignment with global initiatives.
- Champion the effective use of global processes, shared services, technology platforms and business development tools to maximise efficiency and impact.
- Lead the development of compelling win strategies, client pitches and panel submissions, ensuring high-quality, commercially focused outputs that differentiate the firm in the market.
- Partner closely with Client and Sector Business Development teams to identify opportunities, deliver targeted go-to-market campaigns and strengthen relationships with priority clients and sectors.
- Drive the use of data-led insights, market intelligence and technology to support horizon scanning, opportunity identification, pipeline management and informed strategic decision-making across the TMT/IP practice.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Business Development team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative and supportive culture that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
