Role Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a full-time remote role responsible for driving new business growth and expanding Paymentsave’s presence within the SME market. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Identifying and qualifying prospective merchant clients
- Conducting outreach via calls, emails, and online meetings
- Presenting Paymentsave’s payment solutions in a clear, value-focused manner

The role involves:

- Managing the sales pipeline
- Preparing proposals
- Negotiating commercial terms
- Closing deals in line with company targets
The BDM will collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide feedback to help refine products and go-to-market strategies. Regular reporting on sales performance and market trends is expected.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and B2B sales skills, ideally within payments, financial services, or technology.
- Proven ability in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Experience building relationships with SME clients, understanding their commercial needs, and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Comfort working remotely with high levels of self-motivation, time management, and accountability.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and contribute to commercial strategies.
- Familiarity with card acquiring, payment gateways, or merchant services is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in a target-driven environment; track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Working knowledge of MS Office or Google Workspace and digital communication tools (e.g., video conferencing platforms).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
