Benefits: Benefits at Ideagen

Great leaders in Business Development don't just manage numbers, they build confidence, create opportunity, and help people achieve more than they thought possible. We're looking for a BDR Team Leader to lead from the front. This is a player-coach role where you'll be responsible for developing a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives while maintaining your own contribution to pipeline generation.
You'll combine hands-on prospecting with coaching, mentoring, and performance management, helping the team create qualified opportunities that fuel Ideagen's continued growth. If you thrive in a fast-paced SaaS environment and enjoy developing talent as much as delivering results, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching sessions to support growth and engagement.
- Support the onboarding and ramp-up of new starters, helping them build confidence and capability quickly.
- Carry an individual pipeline target and lead by example through consistent outbound activity.
- Generate qualified opportunities through prospecting across multiple channels.
- Monitor team performance, conversion rates, and activity levels, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain high standards of Salesforce usage, data quality, and reporting across the team.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to drive pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
