Job Introduction
BEAM are seeking casual team members to support as part of the Welcome Team.
The successful candidates will assist Duty Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the food and beverage operation and be the open, friendly, knowledgeable face of BEAM.
Successful candidates will work ad hoc evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Candidates must be 18+
What will you be doing?
- Provide high standards of customer care at all times.
- Be familiar with the venue’s artistic programme including shows, films, and events.
- Be familiar with the food and beverage menu.
- Serve drinks, food, and confectionery throughout the building.
- Maintain required levels of cleanliness across all front-of-house and back-of-house areas (equipment, washrooms, hire rooms, auditoria).
- Undertake manual handling of goods, refuse, and equipment.
- Follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste.
- Assist customers with ticket purchases at ticketing kiosks when needed.
- Operate all relevant aspects of the EPOS system.

About You
This role will suit individuals with:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A friendly and professional manner.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Previous teamwork experience.
- Experience in hospitality or food service (desirable).
- A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable; training provided).
- Experience using an EPOS system (desirable; training provided).
- Customer service experience (desirable).
- Basic computer and IT skills.
- Energy and enthusiasm for working in a busy arts environment.
