The Band 7 Ward Manager is responsible for providing strong clinical, professional, and operational leadership across the Surgical Gynaecology Ward and Early Pregnancy Gynaecology Assessment Unit (EPAGU). The post holder will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality, and compassionate patient care, whilst maintaining compliance with Trust policies, national standards, and professional regulatory requirements.
The Ward Manager will lead and manage the nursing and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the effective use of resources, workforce planning, clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development. They will act as a visible and accessible leader, supporting staff, patients, and families, whilst promoting a positive culture aligned with Trust Values.
- Establish, develop, maintain, monitor and facilitate the delivery of services at ward/departmental level, ensuring services provided meet organisational objectives, divisional service strategies and quality accounts.
