Role Description

The Beauty Advisor is a part-time, on-site role based in Street, responsible for delivering an engaging and personalized beauty experience to every client. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming clients, assessing their needs, and recommending suitable products across skincare, makeup, fragrance, and haircare. The role involves demonstrating product application techniques, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of brands and launches, and providing education on ingredients and routines. Beauty Advisors support retail operations by replenishing shelves, organizing displays, processing transactions, and meeting sales goals while adhering to Sephora’s service standards. They also help maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive store environment and collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership to drive client satisfaction and store performance.

  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Retail Sales abilities to create welcoming, results-focused client experiences.
  • Solid Product Knowledge across beauty categories, with emphasis on Skin Care and familiarity with a range of prestige brands.
  • Background or training in Cosmetology, makeup application, or related beauty disciplines, with interest in ongoing skill development.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and tailor recommendations to diverse clients with different beauty goals and needs.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment, including evenings, weekends, and peak seasons, and standing for extended periods.
  • Collaborative mindset, reliability, and professionalism, with commitment to Sephora’s values of inclusion, authenticity, and client care.
  • Previous retail or beauty industry experience is an advantage; relevant certifications in cosmetology or skincare are a plus.
