Beauty Consultant – Luxury Beauty & Wellness

Location: Central London Department Store

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Product Categories: Fragrance, Cosmetics, Skincare, Bodycare & Wellness

The Opportunity

We are looking for passionate and engaging Beauty Consultants to join two exciting, design-led beauty and wellness brands as they establish their presence within one of London’s most prestigious department stores.

This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse product portfolio spanning fragrance, colour cosmetics, skincare, bodycare and wellness. We are looking for individuals who are genuinely passionate about beauty, enjoy discovering new and emerging brands, and can translate that enthusiasm into an exceptional customer experience.

You will act as an ambassador for both brands, introducing customers to their products, stories and philosophies through engaging consultations, demonstrations and personalised recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a highly personalised and engaging customer experience, taking the time to understand each client.
  • Manage counter presentation, visual merchandising, tester hygiene and overall brand environment.
  • Support with stock replenishment, deliveries and general operational responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team and build positive relationships with department store colleagues and surrounding brands.
  • Share customer feedback, bestselling products and emerging trends with the management team.
  • Consistently represent the brands with professionalism, warmth, energy and authenticity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Makeup artistry or cosmetics experience is highly desirable, with confidence demonstrating and applying products on customers.

  • A proactive approach to clienteling and developing repeat business.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make product education engaging rather than overly technical.
  • An energetic and proactive approach to the shop floor, particularly within a busy department store environment.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team while taking ownership of your own performance.
  • Flexibility to work across a retail rota, including weekends and peak trading periods.
