Are you interested in working for a luxury beauty brand celebrated for its innovative use of botanicals and its philanthropy-led conservation work supporting environmental and wildlife groups worldwide? If so, the Chantecaille counter in Peter Jones may be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Full-Time Chantecaille Beauty Consultant working five days a week, you will serve as our Maison Ambassador. You will deliver exceptional, personalised luxury beauty experiences, building meaningful and lasting client relationships through elevated service etiquette and engaging brand storytelling. With a deep passion for nature, conservation, and beauty with impact, you will bring the Chantecaille mission to life at every touchpoint. You will also support an elevated counter environment and contribute to essential operational and housekeeping responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

Customer Service and Performance

  • Achieve the targets set by the company as communicated by the Counter manager in respect of items per transaction/average £ sale and mix of business.
  • Deliver the highest level of service to ensure every customer is provided with an excellent experience at counter.

Events

  • Execute events according to the guidelines as directed by the Counter manager/Account executive/Head Office.

Stock

  • Assist daily in stock, stock rotation and hygiene supplies replenishment and maintain appropriate levels throughout the day.
  • Ensure the drawers and storage areas are kept tidy and highlight any discrepancies or issues to the Counter manager.

Maintain the Work Environment

  • Actively participate in cleaning display units, tools and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for the next day’s business.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, clean as you go.
  • Replace missing, finished or damaged products and equipment once authorised by the counter manager.
  • Maintain proper placement and condition of merchandise on counters, shelves and all stock holding areas.
  • Inform store management/Counter Manager of any store maintenance or Health and safety Issues, potential hazards or accidents.

Teamwork

  • Undertake specific tasks as given by the Counter Manager including administrate paperwork and services.
  • Work in conjunction with team members and the Counter manager to ensure an efficient running of the store.
  • Give great internal customer service and develop good working relationships with colleagues.

Administration

  • Assist with inventory counts.
  • Complete all administration accurately, legibly and on time.

Position Qualifications

  • Retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused, beauty environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of beauty products.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Works well within a team, and independently.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting that requires a high degree of multi-tasking, teamwork and adaptability.
  • Able to work flexible hours including early and late shifts, weekends & bank holidays.
  • Previous experience in luxury beauty industry and department stores desired but not limited to.
