We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic, talented actors for this season’s pantomime "Beauty and the Beast". West Midlands Childrens Theatre is one of the oldest companies in the business, bringing joy to thousands of school children across the UK and Ireland each year and we need more versatile actors to join us!
A typical tour with us is lots of fun, as we work Monday to Friday in school times with only the occasional Saturday show! We also provide all self-catering accommodation and travel to and from each venue, during the rehearsals and touring period.
Each team of 3 actors will be given a tour van for the duration of their contract, and as we use hire vans they are usually no more than 2/3 years old- so a pleasure to drive! We will be casting at least two drivers per team, who will receive an additional drivers fee for undertaking their fair share of the driving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
