Being part of Jarrolds is a little different from working at any other department store. As an independent business, all our decisions are made here in Norwich. With our long history, we have extensive experience and knowledge of what Norfolk loves.
We live by our values, and as a Jarrolds colleague, you will genuinely feel part of one big family. Every one of us plays a valuable role in the store’s success. Whatever the day brings, we are in it together, supporting and caring for one another.
Following the recent expansion of our successful Retreat, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Beauty Therapist to join our talented team on a part-time, permanent basis. This role is for three days per week, totaling 21 hours. We strive to make every person who visits us feel special by creating unique and memorable experiences that keep our customers returning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
