Job Title: Before and After School Club Playworker
Salary
£13,834 per annum based on 22.75 hours per week or £13.28 per hr. Can be done as a job share.
Hours
07:30 - 9:00 and/or 15:00 - 18:00

The Role
Lickey Hills Primary School and Nursery's popular Before and After School Club is looking for play workers to join our dedicated team. You'll help plan and run the club day to day, providing high-quality play and care in an inclusive environment that reflects the school's ethos.
Main Responsibilities

Daily running of the club
- Set up and tidy the venue, and store resources and equipment securely
- Assist with mealtime routines and hygiene practices
- Collect children each day from the classrooms and welcome them happily and safely into the Hive
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities for groups of children
- Supervise children in the dining hall and on the playground

Caring for the children
- Create a welcoming, supportive environment
- Help manage behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy
- Support difference and make sure all children have equal access to opportunities

Safety and compliance
- Follow policies on safeguarding, food hygiene, health and safety, security, administration and confidentiality
- Report all concerns to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher
- Help keep the environment clean, safe and well maintained
- Demonstrate and support safe use of specialist equipment and materials

Teamwork and professionalism
- Build positive relationships with colleagues and the wider school community
- Set a good example in punctuality, behaviour and attendance
- Take part in training
- Support the school's aims and ethos
- Help promote the club to keep it successful

Other
- Carry out other reasonable duties appropriate to the post
- Consult the Headteacher or Club Manager on any non-routine matters
- Having a current Pediatric First Aid qualification would be desirable.
