Before and After School Club Supervisor or Playworker in Horsham, West Sussex
Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on role, age, experience and qualifications)
Location: Horsham (RH12), West Sussex
Our client is a leading provider of out-of-school hours and wraparound childcare for primary school children across East and West Sussex. This company continues to grow year on year, and they're now looking for a Before and After School Club Supervisor or experienced Playworker to join their team, with permanent, regular hours available.
This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and wants to help create a space they look forward to, not just somewhere they pass through before and after the school day. You'll be part of a team delivering a real mix of structured and free play, from multi-sports and arts and crafts to quiet downtime, while helping every child feel included, engaged and safe.
On offer is up to £13.50 per hour depending on role, age, experience and qualifications, flexible availability options to suit your circumstances, and the chance to join a well-established and growing childcare provider.
Working pattern: 7:15-8:45am and 3-6pm, Monday to Friday, during school term-time, with three-day availability during school holidays from 8:45am-3:15pm. Additional shifts are also available.

Key responsibilities:
- Delivering sessions: Assisting with the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities, including multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, and structured and free play.
- Championing inclusion: Providing inclusive, fun and engaging provision for every child, while inspiring them to explore their interests.
- Safety and administration: Completing registers, accident and incident forms, and health and safety checks, and following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Building relationships: Communicating professionally and warmly with team members, parents, children and schools, and representing the organisation's reputation every day.
About you:
- Experience with children: You don't need any specific qualifications, though they'd be a bonus, but some experience working with children is essential.
- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for creating an inclusive, fun and engaging environment for children.
- Organisation: Confident planning and delivering activities with structure and enthusiasm.
- Reliability: Dependable and consistent, with families relying on you being there.
- Travel: Ability to drive would be hugely advantageous.

This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, meaning a full DBS check will be required.
