Working as part of our Aspris Learning & Development Team, as a Behaviour Management Trainer you will provide professional support to Aspris staff; acting as a reliable source of information and advice on Team Teach training - including; processing all related administration documents, answering questions and providing consistent support and guidance to our wider operational colleagues.
This role is remote and the successful candidate will be expected to travel nationwide, so a driving licence is highly recommended.
What will you be doing?
- To act as Behaviour Management Trainer for Aspris and develop relationships with regional operational colleagues and services
- Take responsibility for the delivery of the Aspris Restraint Reduction Strategy to ensure the principles of person-centred care, improvement in individual’s lives and ongoing reduction of restrictive practices are central to the ethos and culture across the business.
- Provide regional training support to services with some travel when required
- To assist the Behaviour management Manager in the implementation of behavioural strategies and Restraint Reduction Strategy to ensure the development of a person-centred culture across Aspris, and personalised strategies for all children and young people which are least restrictive, evidence based and effective
- Work with Behaviour Management Manager, operational colleagues, and the senior management team to drive the strategy implementation plan, oversee agreed actions and work to a continuous improvement model, reviewing and monitoring success and adjusting where necessary
- Identify areas of good practice, supporting development into excellent practice and facilitating practice sharing across the organisation
- Work with the Behaviour management Manager in the development of an oversight and monitoring process for the sign off of restrictive practices and how these are audited
- Ensure time bound audits take place regarding restrictive physical interventions in line with RRN standards requirements and lead on the implementation of actions plans that emerge as a result of the audits
- Work with the Behaviour Management Manager to ensure an annual regional restrictive practice audit takes place and coordinate the implementation of actions plans that emerge because of the audit
- Develop and be responsible for ensuring the roll out and maintenance of a Team Teach training programme for service-based colleagues to ensure they are equipped to work with individuals in a way that is supporting of and congruent with Aspris values
