Behaviour Support Officer
Oakwood School is seeking two committed, resilient, and positive Behaviour Support Officers to join our pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of students by helping to create a calm, safe, and purposeful learning environment where every child can thrive.
Working alongside the Behaviour Manager, pastoral teams, and teaching staff, you will support students in making positive choices, overcoming barriers to learning, and developing behaviors that enable them to achieve their full potential.

This post is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract ending on 31 August 2028 in the first instance, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent subject to organizational requirements and funding.
Job Description
Job Title: Behaviour Support Officer
Grade: PS5
Salary: £20,465 - £21,924 pro rata (£28,546 - £30,581 FTE)
Hours: 8.30am - 3.05pm, 39 weeks per year (Monday to Friday, term time)

Location: Oakwood School
Job Purpose
To promote positive behavior, engagement, and wellbeing by providing operational support to students and staff. The postholder will supervise students, support behavior interventions, contribute to restorative approaches, and assist in maintaining a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment.
