About This Role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more.

Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

At Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, we are seeking a calm, resilient and highly motivated Remove Room Manager to join our Inclusion Team. Working closely with teaching, pastoral and senior leaders, you will lead the day-to-day operation of our Remove Room, providing a structured, supportive and purposeful environment for students who require temporary withdrawal from mainstream lessons. Through positive relationships, high expectations and consistent routines, you will help students reflect on their choices, overcome barriers to learning and successfully reintegrate into academy life.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, organisational and IT skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, families and colleagues. Experience of working with young people in a pastoral, mentoring or educational setting, alongside an understanding of SEMH needs, behaviour support and restorative approaches, would be advantageous. However, we welcome applications from individuals with relevant transferable skills, resilience and a genuine commitment to helping young people thrive and achieve their potential.

At Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, we go the extra mile for our young people. We are proud of our inclusive culture and unwavering commitment to ensuring every student feels safe, supported and inspired to achieve their very best. If you are passionate about helping young people overcome challenges, build confidence and realise their ambitions, we would love to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
