Behavior Support Teaching Assistant

Greater Manchester - Bolton, Bury, Manchester City, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford & Wigan

£13 to £15 per hour / £97.50 - £112.50 per day

Flexible - single day cover through to long term placements, part-time and full-time.

About The Role

Behaviour is often a reflection of unmet need. Elevate Beyond is looking for Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants who understand the importance of relationships, consistency, and positive role modelling.

You will work within specialist SEMH schools, PRUs and Alternative Provision settings across Greater Manchester. Supporting pupils who may present with SEMH, autism, ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, attachment difficulties and trauma-related behaviours. Working closely with teaching staff you will help create calm, structured learning environments where pupils feel safe enough to succeed.

Your Responsibilities

  • Classroom support and positive behaviour guidance
  • Behaviour de-escalation and crisis support
  • Academic intervention and emotional support
  • Recording observations and contributing to EHCP outcomes
  • Collaboration with specialist teachers and multidisciplinary teams

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum one year's experience supporting SEMH or SEND learners
  • Enhanced DBS with children's barred list
  • DBS Update Service registration
  • Level 2 Safeguarding certificate
  • Two professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
