The Role
This is a temporary, on-site Bench Joiner role based in Dudley, focused on producing high-quality joinery for retail interiors. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Constructing fixtures, displays, and fittings using both traditional and modern joinery techniques

The role involves:
- Operating and maintaining workshop machinery and tools
- Assembling and finishing components to specification
- Ensuring work meets Aspen’s quality and safety standards
The Bench Joiner will collaborate with supervisors and other workshop colleagues to meet project deadlines, support smooth production workflows, and prepare items for installation on client sites.
The Right Candidate
- Strong practical skills in carpentry and joinery, including bench work and basic framing.
- Proficient use of hand tools and power tools, with an emphasis on safe operation and maintenance.
- Experience in finish carpentry, including precise fitting, sanding, and application of finishes for retail-quality results.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and specifications accurately.
- Background in interior fit-out, shopfitting, or manufacturing of retail fixtures is highly beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and commitment to health and safety practices in a workshop environment.
- Capability to work effectively on-site in Dudley, manage time well, and contribute positively within a team-based production setting.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry or joinery, or equivalent industry experience.
- Candidate will be required to use their own hand tools and drill.
