An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Benefits & Payroll Advisor to join a leading financial services firm in the City of London.

This is a high-profile role within a collaborative HR team, supporting employees across the UK and Europe. You’ll take ownership of key payroll, benefits and pension processes while working closely with HR, Finance, technology teams and external providers.

The role offers a great mix of hands-on responsibility, stakeholder exposure and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who wants more than simply payroll administration.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Coordinate the monthly UK payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
  • Manage the administration of employee benefits and pensions across the UK and Europe
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee payroll, pension and benefits queries
  • Work closely with Finance, HR, technology teams and external payroll/benefits providers
  • Complete reconciliations, data analysis and reporting, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate employee data and ensure all processes meet regulatory and company requirements
  • Support the ongoing development of HR systems and processes, including identifying opportunities to automate and improve ways of working
  • Contribute to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Handle sensitive employee information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

You’ll Ideally Bring:

  • We’re looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience in payroll and benefits administration, ideally within financial services, professional services or another complex corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll, pensions and employee benefits
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple countries, particularly the UK and Europe
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
  • Advanced Excel skills, including confidence working with large datasets and reconciliations
  • Experience using HRIS platforms such as Workday
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with employees and senior stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-performing environment
