Bilingual Personal Assistant Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation in East London seeking a Bilingual Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to an elected representative. This is an excellent opportunity for a Bilingual Personal Assistant who is fluent in both Bengali and English and enjoys working within the local community, supporting residents and helping to resolve a wide range of enquiries.
The successful Bilingual Personal Assistant will play an important role in managing communications, supporting casework and providing interpretation services, ensuring residents receive a professional and responsive service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and personal assistant support to an elected representative.
- Translate verbal and written communications between Bengali and English.
- Respond to enquiries from local residents in a professional and confidential manner.
- Submit and manage casework through an internal case management system.
- Provide interpretation support during community meetings and advice sessions.

Profile:
- Fluent Bengali and English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Administrator, Community Support Officer or similar role.
- Confident dealing with members of the public and handling sensitive information.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and professional conduct requirements.
- Able to undertake a Basic DBS check.
