Bereavement Services Operative
Pay scale: 3-4 qualification bar
Salary: £29,436 - £33,987 per annum
To work as part of a team in a sensitive cemetery environment carrying out physical work relating to burials, gardening, and other operational activities across the service’s four Cemeteries in accordance with Council policies, standards and procedures, legal requirements and professional codes of practice, where required under the supervision of qualified officers.
Job Context:
- The postholder reports to: Crematorium Manager and Cemeteries Manager
- The postholder has no line management responsibility.
- The postholder will be required to work: 36 hours per week, occasional requirement to work outside ‘normal’ office hours as required by their line manager
- The postholder has no financial/resources responsibility before qualification.
- After qualification: Occasional purchasing within the Corporate limits for self-authorisation, using established contracts or use of purchasing cards (one oral quotation)
