Bespoke Project Manager

Assignment Type: Temporary ongoing assignment, engaged via Hays
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate

We are seeking a Bespoke Project Manager to join a cross-functional team responsible for the successful introduction of new Bespoke content into the manufacturing environment. Acting as a key link between customer requirements, engineering, production, and business functions, you will ensure the seamless delivery of new product content while maintaining quality standards, manufacturing performance, and production KPIs.

What Awaits You?

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Bespoke production build landscape, supporting both new product introductions and continuous product improvements.
  • Coordinate feature introductions, ensuring priorities are aligned across multiple business functions and project teams.
  • Lead and chair cross-functional and cross-plant meetings, driving projects forward and resolving issues effectively.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, logistics, and planning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage change requests and consolidation activities, bringing stakeholders together to achieve consensus on Bespoke requirements.
  • Balance customer expectations with operational and manufacturing requirements to achieve the most effective outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure no negative impact on quality, production targets, or manufacturing KPIs.
  • Support the delivery of cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest quality standards and protecting series production.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within the automotive industry, ideally in low-volume manufacturing.
  • Background in Project Management, Production Planning, Logistics, Product Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct line management authority.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience managing complex projects, product changes, or feature introductions.
  • Degree in Automotive Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good English communication skills, with German language skills beneficial.
  • Ambition and potential to develop into a future people leader.
