About the role

Hammersmith & Fulham, rated nationally by Ofsted as one of the top Local Authorities, we never stop moving forward. Our ambition is to focus even more on increasing the quality of our practice and the work with children, young people, and families to sustain positive change. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision.

Are you a highly skilled Area SENCO or Early Years SENCO with proven experience of inclusion, early intervention and supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Hammersmith & Fulham's Best Start Family Hubs are recruiting dedicated and experienced Best Start Inclusion Practitioners (BSIP) to join our Family Hub network. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our wider network of family hub services, working collaboratively with families, early years practitioners and partner agencies to ensure children with emerging or identified SEND needs receive the right support at the right time.

As a BSIP, you will play a key role in promoting inclusion, strengthening early identification of SEND, supporting early years practitioners and empowering families to access services that help their children in the early years to thrive.

Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision. If you’re looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
