About the role
Ayming UK is looking for an R&D Tax Consultant to join our thriving team in the heart of London.
As an R&D Tax Consultant, you will work closely with clients across different industries, helping them navigate the technical and financial aspects of R&D tax reliefs. You will combine your technical expertise with a consulting mindset, taking an active role in client relationships, claim preparation and the development of high-quality R&D tax claims.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Client Facing: Build client relationships throughout the sales and production process, including regular correspondence regarding claim-related information and liaising directly with government tax authorities on their behalf.
- Subject Matter Expert: Apply a strong technical understanding of your specialism alongside a working knowledge of consulting processes.
- Report and Claim Management: Support the creation of structured claim reports, R&D project descriptions and justifications, as well as claim adjustments based on the determined tax liability.
- Aware and Informed: Stay up to date with current affairs and innovative developments across key global sectors.

Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
- Consulting Experience: 1–2 years of experience in consulting or R&D Tax. We welcome candidates from diverse industry backgrounds.
- Strong Academic Foundation: A STEM degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) is required.
- Collaborative & Dependable: You work effectively within a team, align with client needs and follow structured methodologies.
- Proactive Learner & Problem Solver: You demonstrate curiosity, critical thinking and initiative when tackling challenges and developing your knowledge of R&D Tax.
