SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

£500 TO £550 PER DAY
This is an opportunity to join a high profile Finance Business Intelligence transformation programme that is modernising enterprise finance reporting through Microsoft Fabric. You will play a pivotal role in shaping requirements, driving User Acceptance Testing, and leading change management across a critical Finance BI delivery roadmap.
The Company
They are a large strategy consulting firm undergoing a significant finance reporting transformation. The programme is focused on migrating reporting capabilities from legacy SQL Server and SSAS environments into a unified Microsoft Fabric semantic model. Working within an agile delivery environment, they are investing heavily in modern data platforms, finance analytics, and reporting excellence. This contract offers the chance to influence both current delivery priorities and the longer-term Finance BI roadmap.

The Role and Deliverables
- Engage finance stakeholders to define business requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs across the Finance BI programme.
- Translate business requirements into clear specifications for architects and developers, acting as the key link between business and technology teams.
- Define data model, governance, and reporting requirements for a Microsoft Fabric based semantic model.
- Lead UAT design, defect triage processes, and requirement documentation to support successful project delivery.
- Design and coordinate change management activities for finance reporting releases and go live deployments.
- Provide day to day direction across business analysis activities while supporting the delivery of priorities including Case Margin, Working Capital, financial reporting, and investment reporting.

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience delivering business analysis, requirements gathering, and UAT activities within BI, analytics, or data platform programmes.
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or a comparable modern cloud data platform.
- Ability to engage senior finance stakeholders and translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements.
- Knowledge of data modelling, semantic models, ETL concepts, and reporting best practices.
- Experience operating within agile delivery environments and bringing structure to evolving workstreams.
- Strong understanding of finance reporting, management information, or investment reporting environments.
- Ability to manage defect triage, coordinate stakeholders, and support successful change adoption without requiring hands on development skills.
