BI Capability & Training Lead (Looker / Gemini) — £600/day — Bristol hybrid
A banking group is scaling Google Looker and Looker Gemini (GenBI) across the organisation, and needs someone to build the capability model.
This isn't a dashboard-building role. You'll design how thousands of colleagues learn, get accredited, and go on to deliver GenBI in their own teams.
What you'll build:
- Role-based learning pathways (Builder, User, Enabler, Leader) integrated into an existing AI Academy
- A formal accreditation model — competency thresholds, certification routes, delivery eligibility
- The learning ecosystem behind it: self-serve portal, virtual classroom, hands-on labs and sandboxes
- Federated capability across business domains, including train-the-trainer

What we're looking for:
- Track record building enterprise learning or capability programmes — data academies, digital transformation, analytics enablement
- Experience designing accreditation or certification frameworks, not just delivering training
- Comfortable engaging across L&D, technology and business domains
- Looker / BigQuery exposure is a plus, not a must. Looker Gemini is new enough that nobody has years on it — we're hiring for capability-build experience first

The details:
- £600 per day, inside IR35 (umbrella)
- Initial term to end of year, with a 2026 deliverable plan behind it
- Hybrid — 2 days per week in Bristol
