Description
We are looking for a talented BI Developer to help drive our data and analytics capabilities. Working across multiple data sources, you will design, develop and support reporting, analytics and data solutions that enable informed decision-making across the organisation.
As a key member of the Data team, you will play a hands-on role in the continued development of our Microsoft Fabric platform, building data pipelines, integrating data from across the business, and delivering impactful Power BI dashboards and insights. Working closely with stakeholders and technical teams, you will transform complex data into trusted, actionable information that supports operational excellence, customer understanding and commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities
Data Platform & Engineering
- Develop, maintain, and optimise Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Dataflows, Lakehouses, Warehouses and Pipelines.
- Design and implement scalable data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Build and maintain ELT/ETL processes that integrate data from multiple business systems.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, governance and security across the analytical platform.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and data refresh processes.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models.
- Create intuitive visualisations that provide actionable business insights.
- Develop DAX measures, KPIs and calculations.
- Support self-service reporting capabilities across business departments.
- Optimise report performance and user experience.

Data Integration & Modelling
- Integrate data from multiple sources including CRM, ERP, finance, operational, marketing, web and third-party platforms.
- Design and maintain logical and physical data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop reusable datasets and reporting standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide support, training and guidance to report users.
- Contribute to the organisation's data strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Responsibilities
- Support the development and ongoing enhancement of the organisation's data and analytics platform.
- Promote best practices in data management, reporting, governance, and Business Intelligence development.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Systems teams, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, scalable data solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and self-service capabilities across the business.
- Share knowledge, document solutions, and support the development of team standards and technical capability.
- Foster a data-driven culture by enabling users to access, understand, and leverage data effectively.
Performance Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Microsoft Fabric and Power BI solutions on time and to specification.
- Maintain reliable, accurate and performant data pipelines and reporting platforms.
- Increase business adoption of reporting and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Drive efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver measurable business value from data and insights.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience as a BI Developer, Power BI Developer, Analytics Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric (Desired).
- Experience developing and supporting Fabric Pipelines.
- Advanced Power BI skills including data modelling, DAX, Power Query and semantic models.
- Experience integrating and analysing data from multiple business systems and data sources.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling principles.
- Experience designing ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
