Trusted, respected, and growing fast
Joining Holland Mountain means the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact client challenges, develop your expertise in a specialist and growing business, and help shape how data, technology and emerging tools such as AI are used in practice.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced BI Developer to join our ATLAS team in London. This is a hands-on, client-facing role within a fast-paced consulting environment. You'll build and improve BI and data solutions, work directly with clients to understand their challenges, and turn evolving requirements into practical, high-quality solutions.
You'll work across multiple projects and priorities, so we're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with confidence, adaptability and ownership.
AI and how we work
AI is increasingly part of how we approach development at Holland Mountain, and we're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in using it to work smarter and deliver better solutions.
You don't need to be an AI or machine-learning specialist. We're interested in practical use of AI within development - whether that's supporting coding and SQL development, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, analysis or exploring different approaches to solving a problem.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We'd particularly like to hear how you're already using AI tools in your work, or how you see them becoming part of your development approach.
What you'll be doing
- Design, build and enhance BI and data solutions for our clients
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and data models
- Design, build and maintain Tabular semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, including DAX calculations, incremental refresh and deployment automation
- Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Manage delivery across multiple projects and changing priorities
- Investigate data and technical problems and identify practical solutions
- Validate and test data to ensure accuracy, reliability and quality
- Collaborate with consultants, developers and other stakeholders throughout delivery
What we're looking for
- Strong SQL Server development skills, including T-SQL queries and stored procedures
- Experience developing and maintaining SSAS multidimensional and Tabular models
- Strong working knowledge of DAX
- Good understanding of BI and data warehousing methodologies
- Experience working in a consultancy or client-services delivery environment would be a distinct advantage
- A track record of delivering across multiple concurrent projects or clients
- Familiarity with Azure data services and modern data platform components
- Experience with data validation and testing techniques
- Experience working with Data Vault and Kimball modelling approaches
- Programming or scripting experience would be an advantage
You'll thrive here if you...
- Enjoy working directly with clients, are comfortable when requirements evolve, and can manage competing priorities without losing sight of delivery. You'll be someone who asks questions, takes ownership and is confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- This is an environment where things move quickly, so adaptability and a proactive approach are important. In return, you'll have the opportunity to combine hands-on BI development, client interaction, problem-solving and emerging AI-enabled ways of working.
- We are prioritising candidates who are available to start in September 2026.
- If you enjoy building, problem-solving, working with clients and finding smarter ways to deliver, we'd love to hear from you.
