Business Intelligence Developer
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organisation.
Location: Leeds - Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and self-service analytics solutions using Qlik Sense and/or Power BI.
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective BI and reporting solutions.
- Design and optimise SQL queries, data models and reporting datasets to support analytical needs.
- Improve reporting processes, data quality and operational efficiency through automation and enhanced analytics.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting BI solutions and underlying data.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, reliable and aligned with business objectives.
- Promote data-driven decision making by providing insights, training and support to end users.
- Collaborate with data scientists, database administrators and development teams to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience developing BI solutions, ideally with Qlik Sense (Power BI also considered).
- Strong stakeholder management and requirements-gathering skills.
- Solid SQL development skills with experience in data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working within Agile environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused, proactive and able to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
