This is an opportunity to join a high-profile finance transformation programme focused on modernising business intelligence and reporting capabilities. You will play a key role in the migration of finance reporting from legacy technologies to Microsoft Fabric, helping to deliver critical reporting and analytical capabilities across the organisation.

The Company

They are a large, strategy organisation undertaking a significant data and reporting transformation. Their focus is on creating a modern, scalable Finance BI environment that supports better decision-making and operational insight. Working within an agile delivery model, they are investing in Microsoft Fabric, data modelling, and advanced reporting capabilities to enhance financial and investment reporting.

The Role and Deliverables

  • Develop and enhance data warehouse solutions, including data models and Power BI semantic models within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring reliable and efficient data integration processes.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to design, develop, and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards for finance stakeholders.
  • Optimise end-to-end BI solutions within Microsoft Fabric, identifying opportunities to improve performance and scalability.
  • Implement and support automated testing processes to improve solution quality and delivery efficiency.
  • Maintain clear technical specifications, documentation, and task tracking within Azure DevOps.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience developing business intelligence solutions, including data integration and data warehouse development.
  • Proven capability working with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and semantic model development.
  • Expertise in SSAS cube design, development, and optimisation.
  • Strong ETL development experience using SQL and SSIS.
  • Proficiency with SSDT, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience establishing or supporting BI continuous integration and release processes.
  • Ability to create effective, visually engaging Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment with changing priorities and evolving requirements.
  • Experience supporting finance, financial reporting, or investment reporting environments would be beneficial.
