Business Intelligence Developer
Location: Solihull
Salary: £33.5k-45k
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Band: 5
Overview
Serco is expanding its Business Intelligence capabilities and is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to create and manage Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards, aiding the business in making informed decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who can seamlessly transition between stakeholder discussions and technical tasks. If you can translate business needs into a functional BI solution, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine reporting and analytics requirements.
- Design and deliver end-to-end BI solutions, from requirements through to deployment and support.
- Analyze and integrate data from SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Develop and optimize data transformation and data integration processes.
- Apply data modelling, reporting, and visualization best practices.
- Use Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and data quality activities.
- Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to users and support teams.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to continuously improve reporting and analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, reporting, and analytical techniques.
- Experience working with SAP data and a good understanding of SAP business processes.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Data Services.
