BI Developer

Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £38,000 + £2,000 Annual Bonus
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in the office
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:45am–5:15pm | Friday, 8:45am–2:45pm

The Opportunity

We're working with a growing, data-driven organisation based in Leeds that is looking for a BI Developer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data but wants to do more than simply build dashboards and reports.

The business is investing in its data capabilities, with ongoing developments across Power BI, Qlik and Microsoft Fabric. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, contribute to meaningful projects and help shape how data is used across the organisation.

They're not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything. They're looking for someone with strong SQL foundations, a curious and analytical mindset, and the confidence to challenge ideas, ask questions and find solutions.

Whether you're an established BI Developer or a junior developer looking to take the next step, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and take real ownership of your work.

The Role

As a BI Developer, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their challenges and turn data into meaningful insights that support better decision-making.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed requirements and asked to build reports. You'll be encouraged to understand the bigger picture, challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve how the business uses its data.

You'll work across a variety of projects, from developing sales performance dashboards and improving KPI reporting to supporting data warehousing initiatives and introducing more effective self-service analytics.

With the business continuing to evolve, no two days will look quite the same.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
