Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced BI Fabric Developer / Engineer Contractor to join Savills on a 6-month fixed-term contract, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of our enterprise Business Intelligence and data analytics capabilities. Working closely with the BI Lead, you will help shape the future of our Microsoft Fabric environment, providing both hands-on technical expertise and strategic guidance on architecture, engineering standards, and emerging technologies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data engineering professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and building scalable, high-performing data solutions. You will lead the design and development of modern data platforms, implement robust data pipelines, develop enterprise-grade analytical models, and support the migration of existing solutions into Microsoft Fabric.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics architecture, alongside experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and PySpark. Beyond technical delivery, you will act as a trusted advisor, influencing best practices, improving development processes, and helping drive innovation across the BI function. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical excellence with a collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
