BI Reporting Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BI Reporting Analyst based in United Kingdom.
This role is an opportunity to work at the intersection of data, reporting, and business decision-making.
You will work with large datasets and Oracle databases to transform complex information into accurate, actionable insights. The position combines SQL and PL/SQL development with report creation, dashboarding, and data visualization. You will partner directly with internal business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver meaningful analytical solutions. Your work will help teams monitor performance, evaluate business dynamics, and make informed decisions using reliable data. The environment encourages continuous learning, collaboration, and ownership while giving you the opportunity to strengthen your BI and reporting expertise. It is well suited to an analytical professional who enjoys solving data challenges and turning information into clear business stories.
Accountabilities
- Work with databases to import and export data, prepare reports, and develop data queries using PL/SQL.
- Create and maintain database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, and related database structures.
- Work with large and complex datasets while performing data quality analysis and identifying inconsistencies or issues.
- Develop analytical reports and dashboards that help internal stakeholders monitor business performance and key indicators.
- Create and optimize report visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder.
- Analyze business requirements and translate stakeholder needs into practical reporting and analytical solutions.
- Communicate directly with internal business customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and ensure delivered reports meet business needs.
- Troubleshoot technical and data-related issues, investigate root causes, and determine when escalation is required.
- Contribute to improving reporting processes, data accuracy, visualization quality, and overall analytical capabilities.
- Collaborate with team members while also taking independent ownership of assigned reporting and database development activities.

Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional experience with PL/SQL development.
- Hands-on experience creating and working with database tables, views, stored procedures, and PL/SQL queries.
- Experience developing report visualizations with Power BI and/or Power BI Report Builder is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of relational databases and database concepts, with Oracle experience considered highly relevant.
- Experience working with datasets, data analysis, data quality validation, and reporting workflows.
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, with a structured approach to troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
- Ability to investigate issues independently, identify appropriate solutions, and escalate complex problems when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling data and reporting requirements.
- Willingness and ability to learn new tools, technologies, and reporting techniques.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Clear communication skills and confidence interacting with internal business stakeholders.
