Are you a seasoned professional with a knack for managing complex regulatory programmes? An exciting contract role is available for a British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS) Programme Lead within a leading organisation based in the UK. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to make a significant impact by leading the application process for the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS).
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the BICS Programme Lead will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the BICS Lead you will review sites to identify products and operations that may qualify under BICS.
- As the BICS Lead you will assess eligibility against approved product codes and business SIC codes.
- As the BICS Lead you will work with operational, finance, legal, and management teams to establish subsidiary entities where required.
- As the BICS Lead you will manage and coordinate the end-to-end application process for eligible sites.

Skills And Experience
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the BICS Programme Lead, the following skills and experience are essential:
- Proven experience managing complex regulatory, compliance, or government-funded programmes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business eligibility criteria and interpret technical guidance.
- Experience working with SIC codes, corporate structures, legal entities, or regulatory frameworks.
- Proven project management experience delivering against fixed deadlines.
Highly Desirable Skills Include
- Experience with energy-intensive industry schemes, industrial decarbonisation programmes, government incentives, or energy compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of UK manufacturing sectors and industrial energy consumption.
- Previous experience preparing and submitting applications for government support schemes, grants, or regulatory programmes.
