About Way Cycles
Way Cycles is an independent, cyclist-focused bike shop in London, specialising in bicycle servicing, repairs, and customer support.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality workmanship, fast turnaround times, and friendly, honest service. We work on a wide variety of bikes and aim to create a welcoming environment for everyone, from everyday commuters to experienced cyclists.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Full-Time Bicycle Mechanic / Shop Assistant to join our team.
The Role
This is a full-time, on-site position combining workshop responsibilities with customer service and day-to-day shop support.

- Bicycle servicing, repairs, and safety checks
- Diagnosing mechanical problems
- Adjusting gears, brakes, and other components
- Replacing and fitting bicycle parts
- Assembling bicycles and accessories
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and stocked
- Speaking with customers and explaining repairs clearly
- Helping customers choose suitable parts and accessories
- Processing sales and using our point-of-sale system
- Working with the team to maintain a fast and efficient workshop
What We're Looking For
- Practical mechanical skills and a genuine interest in bicycles
- Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop
- Reliable, organised, and willing to learn
- Comfortable using basic computer and POS systems
- Good level of spoken English
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Previous experience in a bike shop or professional workshop is preferred but not essential. We're open to someone with less experience who has strong mechanical ability, the right attitude, and is genuinely motivated to learn and develop as a bicycle mechanic.
