Job Title
An award-winning, employee-owned architecture and heritage practice is looking for a creative and highly organised Bid Coordinator to join its Manchester studio.
About the Role
The practice works across an exciting mix of heritage, conservation and contemporary design projects and has a collaborative, supportive culture where people are encouraged to share ideas, develop their skills and take ownership of their work.
Working closely with Partners and the wider work-winning team, you will manage the end-to-end bid process, producing high-quality and visually engaging submissions while supporting the practice's wider business development activity.
This is a fast-paced role and would suit someone with bid coordination experience, strong InDesign skills and a genuine interest in architecture and the built environment. You'll be managing multiple bids and working with a range of stakeholders, so excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time
- Work closely with Partners and internal stakeholders to develop high-quality proposals and presentation materials
- Use Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, to create visually engaging and professional bid submissions
- Design layouts and collate relevant imagery, graphics, project information and supporting content
- Review and proofread submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, working with a range of stakeholders and deadlines
- Maintain and develop bid library content, including CVs, project case studies and photography
- Support bid analysis, including reviewing wins and losses and identifying lessons learned
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce greater efficiencies
- Collaborate with the wider Business Development and Marketing teams on strategic initiatives

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
