Bid Coordinator, Defence Sales – Kick-start Your Career in International Defence Bids

Ready to build your career at the heart of international defence sales? As our new Bid Coordinator, you will turn technical and commercial detail into winning price quotes and bids, with a clear route to growing into a full Bid Manager role.

The Job:

Turn technical detail into winning bids

As Bid Coordinator, you will help our sales team move faster on price quotes, pricing letters, and tenders while making sure that every offer complies with our price lists, export rules, and quality processes. You will track proposals from the first quote through to purchase order (PO) and use AI tools to minimize manual work and reduce errors.

In short, some of your key tasks will be to:

  • Author, quality-assure and issue price quotations and pricing letters in line with our price lists, QA processes, and compliance regulations
  • Track bids from issue through to PO
  • Support Bid Management colleagues on complex military tenders with templates, pricing, planning, and tracking
  • Apply AI tools to speed up and improve the accuracy of our quotes and tenders
  • Advise Sales on pricing, licensing models, and terms and conditions

No travel is expected in the first one to two years.

Joining the Team:

A global team whose work is felt on the bottom line

You will be part of our global Defence sales organization and join a Bid Management team of five colleagues spread across the UK, Germany, and Denmark, supporting Defence sales teams across Europe, the Middle East, the USA, and Asia-Pacific with license, services, and maintenance quotes for our COTS military products. This is one of the most direct routes to software value at Systematic – when license and maintenance quotes move quickly, our software revenue moves with them. The team is growing beyond its current European base, so you will have a real say in how we work as we expand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You Bring:

The right mindset, backed by real experience

More than anything, this role calls for the right mindset and personality – someone who is curious, calm under pressure, and ready to take ownership from day one. That said, to hit the ground running in a role that touches pricing, contracts, and compliance, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, economics, or a related field, along with 1–2 years of relevant work experience. This gives you the grounding to navigate our processes with confidence, rather than learning the basics on the job.

We are also looking for:

  • A genuine can-do attitude – when a task lands on your desk, your instinct is “we’ll make this happen,” and you follow through
  • Independence, with the confidence to own your workload
  • A candidate who is curious and hungry to learn, always seeking out feedback that helps you grow
  • A calm and composed disposition when priorities shift
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and AI tools
  • Superior communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written
