We are working with a Dorset-based accredited building and refurbishment contractor. Delivering high-quality commercial, public sector, and healthcare construction projects across the South, who take pride in their can-do culture, quality workmanship, and long-term client relationships.

Due to an increase in new opportunities they are now looking for an organized and compelling Bid Coordinator and Writer to join their dedicated head office team.

The Role

As a Bid Coordinator and Writer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end bid submission process. You will play a pivotal role in securing new opportunities, managing tender documentation, writing tailored bid responses, and maintaining their bid management library.

You will work closely with the directors, project managers, and quantity surveyors to ensure every submission reflects the company's high standards of quality, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Bid Management: Monitor procurement portals, identify suitable tender opportunities, and track bid progress from initial inquiry to final submission.
  • Content Writing and Editing: Write, edit, and proofread clear, persuasive bid narratives, PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), and ITT (Invitation to Tender) responses.
  • Information Gathering: Interview technical team members, project managers, and health and safety specialists to pull together accurate, project-specific technical data.
  • Document Design and Compliance: Ensure all bid submissions comply fully with client formatting, requirements, deadline criteria, and brand guidelines.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain and update a bid content library, including past experience, case studies, CVs, compliance certificates, and technical responses.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Coordinate post-tender reviews and client feedback to continuously refine our submission strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
