Bid & Funding Manager (Energy): Grants, Tenders & Innovation Funding
Fully remote UK based | 3.5, 4 or 5 days per week | £30,000-£55,000 pro-rata | 18-month fixed term, likely to extend

Our client is a fast-growing, purpose-led organisation on a mission to make affordable, sustainable energy available to everyone. They're looking for a Bid & Funding Manager to own their grant and tender pipeline, from first opportunity to final submission.
What you'll do
- Find and win funding from government, utilities, trusts, and foundations
- Lead bids end to end, managing partners, stakeholders, and project teams
- Write sharp, persuasive grant applications and tender responses
- Produce case studies, white papers, and impact reports
- Keep a well-organised pipeline of opportunities and deadlines

What you'll bring
- A proven record of winning energy-sector funding, ideally from Innovate UK, Energy Redress, the Strategic Innovation Fund, or government and utility procurements
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills
- Strong research skills and the ability to work independently to tight deadlines
- Confidence using AI tools to work quickly
- A genuine passion for social value and sustainability

Bonus points
- Familiarity with DESNZ, Energy Network Innovation funding, local authorities, or charitable trusts
- Experience with bid software and CRM tools
