The Role
The bid manager plays a key role in supporting the commercial success of the National Express Bus across the UK. Reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Manager, the role is responsible for orchestrating the delivery of high-quality, compelling bid submissions for major contracts. You will bridge the gap between strategic intent and technical execution, ensuring every tender response is innovative, compliant, and positioned to win. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Process and Pipeline Management
- Bid Strategy and Writing
- Business Development and Revenue Generation
- Continuous Improvement and Growth
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the K bus market, including commercial, tendered, and franchised operations, along with relevant timelines, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience in communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels and experience within commercial transport bids and contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and deliver quality outputs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as Google Workspace equivalents.
