Bid Manager

Hybrid – Southwark (3 days office / 2 days home)

£50,000 – £60,000 Basic + Profit Share Scheme + External Training + 25 Days Holidays + Pension + Healthcare + Subsidised Gym + Electric Car Scheme + More Benefits!!!

Are you an experienced Bid Manager looking for a role where you can take real ownership of a work winning function, overseeing a small team and making a genuine impact within one of the UK's most prestigious and award-winning practices?

This is a rare opportunity to join a renowned, employee-owned architectural and heritage consultancy, ranked number one for Heritage in the World Architecture 100 for five consecutive years. As Bid Manager, you will take the lead on high-value, complex bid submissions across a range of sectors, working closely with senior partners and the wider work winning team. This is a role with real scope, you'll be leading the day to day bid function, managing a team of Bid Coordinators and playing a key part in shaping the future of work winning within the practice.

Key Duties

  • Lead the end-to-end bid process across high-value opportunities, working closely with senior partners and stakeholders to deliver compelling, high-quality submissions
  • Use Adobe InDesign to produce visually outstanding bid documents that reflect the quality and reputation of the practice
  • Line manage and develop a team of Bid Coordinators, overseeing workload and supporting their development
  • Implement and drive work winning strategies across a range of sectors and procurement routes
  • Track and communicate opportunities across a variety of channels and procurement portals
  • Report on bid performance, wins and losses, driving continuous improvement across the function

Experience Required

  • Experienced Bid Manager with end-to-end bid process experience, ideally within architecture, design or a related built environment or professional services environment
  • Strong InDesign skills - essential for this role
  • Excellent written and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working at pace across multiple bids with varying deadlines and stakeholders
  • Willing to commute to Southwark 3 days a week
