About the Role

NexGen Associates is recruiting an experienced Bid Manager to join a growing, employee-owned digital and technology services business. The organisation delivers complex solutions across Defence, Government, Critical Infrastructure and other highly regulated sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented bid professional to contribute directly to the company’s ambitious growth plans. You will support the development of high-quality, persuasive and compliant bids, translating complex technical solutions into clear, customer-focused proposals.

The Role

Working alongside the Senior Bid Manager, business development teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders, you will manage bids throughout the full proposal lifecycle.

You will help produce compelling submissions that fully address customer requirements, communicate clear win themes and achieve strong evaluation scores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and, where required, lead responses to public and private sector tenders, frameworks, RFIs, ITTs, RFPs, SQs and PQQs.
  • Analyse tender documentation and produce compliance matrices, response plans and bid schedules.
  • Develop persuasive proposal content that clearly communicates technical capabilities, value propositions and differentiators.
  • Coordinate input from technical, engineering, commercial, legal and operational stakeholders.
  • Review and challenge draft content to ensure every question is answered fully and effectively.
  • Take ownership of bid documents, presentations and proposal submissions.
  • Manage reviews, approvals, version control and submission deadlines.
  • Facilitate bid kick-off meetings, workshops, review gates and governance sessions.
  • Produce executive summaries, win themes and customer-focused messaging.
  • Maintain and develop bid libraries, case studies, CVs, project references and reusable content.
  • Support lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure all submissions meet company quality, branding and governance standards.
  • Contribute to Blue, Pink, Red and Gold bid reviews.
  • Deputise for the Senior Bid Manager when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
