Your new role

As a Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by managing the full tender process from opportunity identification through to successful submission and handover.

You will be responsible for managing multiple bids simultaneously, coordinating internal stakeholders, developing compelling submissions, and ensuring all commercial and technical information is accurately captured.

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle, including opportunity review, tender planning, submission management, and post-tender debriefs.
  • Review tender documentation, identify risks, and develop compliant and competitive bid strategies.
  • Create, structure, and quality-assure bid responses to ensure clear, persuasive, and accurate submissions.
  • Coordinate bid programmes and manage deadlines across internal teams.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, subcontractors, and overheads.
  • Analyse pricing, identify value engineering opportunities, and support margin improvement strategies.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, clarification sessions, and bid presentations where required.
  • Manage the transition of successful bids into delivery teams, ensuring all commercial and contractual details are captured.

About You

We are seeking a highly organised and commercially focused Bid Manager to join this growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing winning tender submissions, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the continued expansion of the business.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in bid management, estimating, or tendering within an electrical, mechanical, security systems, or infrastructure environment. You will be confident managing multiple stakeholders, producing high-quality written submissions, and building accurate commercial models.

  • Experience within bid management, estimating, or tendering
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience producing and reviewing cost estimates
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive bid content
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience with electrical, M&E, security systems, highways, infrastructure, or public-sector frameworks is desirable
