Following the merger of Trustmarque and Ultima, we've created one of the UK's most exciting technology businesses, with over 1,400 people and capabilities spanning cloud, AI, cyber security, digital transformation and managed services.
We're now looking for a proactive, detail-driven Bid Manager to join our high-performing Bid Team and lead strategic bids and proposals across commercial and public sector clients. About the Role
As Bid Manager, you'll own bids from qualification through to submission and closure, coordinating Sales, technical, delivery and leadership stakeholders to produce compelling responses.
You'll shape clear win themes, develop tailored content around client objectives and ensure our proposals communicate value and differentiate Trustmarque Ultima. You'll manage multiple bids at pace, support client clarification and presentation stages, and help continuously improve our bid process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the coordination, development and submission of high-quality bids, proposals and tender responses.
- Create persuasive responses with clear win themes that demonstrate our strengths to the customer.
- Qualify opportunities and assess bid viability with sales and delivery teams to shape winning strategies.
- Develop tailored content that aligns to client objectives, communicates value and differentiates our offering.
- Lead bid kick-off meetings, manage timelines and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Work with subject matter experts to gather technical, commercial and compliance information.
- Attend client meetings and presentations to support clarification and negotiation stages.
- Maintain and evolve the bid library and knowledge base to improve quality and efficiency.
- Conduct post-bid reviews, capture lessons learned and help improve win rates and bid quality.
- Support sales enablement materials and wider business development initiatives.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong organisation and time management with excellent communication, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
You'll ideally have:
- Practical bid or proposal writing experience, ideally within technology solutions.
- The ability to own bids from initial definition through to submission and closure with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills, with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
- A thorough, methodical approach to quality assurance and a strong eye for detail.
- The ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining focus on individual deadlines and requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
