Role: Bid Manager - Technology Consultancy
Location: Central London
Employment: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
We are working with a specialist technology consultancy delivering complex IT, AV, smart building and physical infrastructure solutions for major clients across the UK and internationally.
Working across sectors including commercial real estate, workplace, data centres and hospitality, they support clients throughout the technology lifecycle, from strategy and technical design through procurement, implementation and project delivery.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to take ownership of the development and submission of high-quality bids, proposals and tender responses.
This role will sit at the intersection of business development, technical consultancy and project delivery, turning complex technical solutions into clear, compelling and commercially focused proposals.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the end-to-end bid process from initial opportunity through to final submission
- Reviewing ITTs, RFPs, RFQs, PQQs and other tender documentation to understand client requirements
- Developing bid strategies, response plans and submission programmes
- Coordinating input from technical consultants, designers, Project Managers, commercial teams and senior stakeholders
- Writing, editing and developing compelling technical and commercial bid content
- Translating complex technology solutions into clear, client-focused proposals
- Managing bid timelines, responsibilities, reviews and approvals to ensure submissions are delivered accurately and on time
- Leading kick-off meetings, progress reviews and final bid reviews
- Ensuring responses address client requirements, evaluation criteria and key differentiators
- Maintaining and developing bid libraries, case studies, standard responses and supporting collateral
- Working closely with business development teams to understand upcoming opportunities and strengthen the pipeline
- Supporting presentations, interviews and clarification stages following tender submission
- Reviewing previous submissions and feedback to continually improve bid quality and win strategy
- Ensuring proposals consistently reflect the quality and technical capability of the wider consultancy

- Previous experience as a Bid Manager, Senior Bid Writer or similar within a technical, consultancy or construction-related environment
- Proven experience managing bids and tenders from initial qualification through to submission
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to turn complex technical information into persuasive, easy-to-understand content
- Strong experience coordinating contributions from technical specialists and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and concurrent opportunities
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of how to position value within competitive tenders
- Strong attention to detail across written content, formatting and submission compliance
- Confident challenging and coordinating contributors to keep bids on programme
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
