Talent Frame are delighted to partner with our long-standing client on a Bid Manager role in the legal sector. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the end-to-end process of bid submissions, supporting the goal of securing profitable new work across multiple sectors. This is a pivotal position within the organisation’s business development team.
This role can be based in either the Birmingham or Manchester offices (hybrid working - 2-3 days in the office).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and project manage responses to regional and national tenders and proposals, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
- Develop, evaluate, and prioritise bid opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with fee earners and other team members to craft compelling bid strategies and propositions.
- Conduct research on clients and prospects to inform and tailor bid content effectively.
- Coordinate all aspects of bid management, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, pricing, and review processes.
- Draft, edit, and proofread persuasive content, ensuring all materials align with brand standards and client expectations.
- Liaise with support departments to verify accuracy and completeness of submissions.
- Coach and support fee earners in preparing for presentations and interviews.
- Analyse win/loss data and engage in post-bid debriefs to improve future responses.
- Promote best practices and maintain a knowledge bank of templates, case studies, and answers to common questions.
- Collaborate with the wider Business Development team to identify cross-selling opportunities and share insights on bid successes.

Person Specification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing bids / tenders in a B2B environment (we will prioritise people from legal, accountancy, management consultancy, property, construction, and engineering backgrounds).
- Proven ability to produce clear, persuasive, and well-structured written content.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with influencing ability.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Proficiency in IT and numeracy skills; experience with InDesign is desirable but not essential.
- Experience using CRM systems and online research tools.

Salary is up to £55,000.
