Bid Manager
AgileSource is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end bid lifecycle for public and private sector opportunities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in consultancy, public sector procurement, framework agreements, and bid management best practices, including the Shipley methodology.

Salary Range £60,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
This role is responsible for managing high-value, complex bids and framework submissions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and driving winning strategies that maximise business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Management
- Lead the full bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through to submission and post-bid review.
- Develop bid strategies, win themes, and value propositions aligned to client requirements.
- Manage bid plans, timelines, governance, and review processes.
- Coordinate contributions from SMEs, technical teams, sales, delivery, legal, and finance functions.
- Ensure submissions are compliant, compelling, and submitted on time.

Public Sector & Framework Expertise
- Identify and manage opportunities across key public sector procurement routes.
- Lead responses to framework competitions, mini-competitions, and call-off opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of UK public sector procurement regulations and bidding best practices.
- Support framework applications and renewals.
Consultancy Services Bids
- Develop winning bids for consultancy and professional services engagements.
- Translate complex technical solutions into clear customer-focused responses.
- Work closely with consulting and delivery teams to articulate capability, experience, and value.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate bid kick-offs, workshops, and review meetings.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide bid coaching and guidance to subject matter experts and proposal contributors.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager.
- Strong consultancy or professional services background.
- Significant experience managing public sector bids and framework submissions.
- Strong understanding of UK procurement frameworks and tendering processes.
- Experience applying Shipley bid management methodologies.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong proposal writing, editing, and quality review capability.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent bids and deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- APMP Foundation, Practitioner, or Professional certification.
- Shipley training or accreditation.
- Experience with Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks.
- Knowledge of procurement portals and eTendering platforms.
- Experience within digital transformation, technology, management consulting, or professional services sectors.
