About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join a global technology organisation and support the delivery of complex public-sector proposals and tenders.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid lifecycle, working closely with Sales, Solution Engineering, Security, Legal, Compliance and other subject matter experts to develop high-quality, compliant and compelling responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, ITTs and other formal tenders.
- Develop bid strategies, timelines, plans and response structures.
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders across Sales, Technical, Security, Legal, Compliance and external partners.
- Lead Go/No-Go discussions and ensure bid requirements are fully understood.
- Write, edit and review proposal content across general, functional and technical areas.
- Ensure responses are accurate, compliant and aligned with customer requirements.
- Develop compelling win themes, executive summaries and value propositions.
- Manage bid content, templates, boilerplate responses and proposal libraries.
- Coordinate clarification questions, amendments and final submissions.
- Support executive reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of bid processes, policies and governance.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future submissions.
- Work effectively across multiple complex bids in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Bid Management, Proposal Management or Proposal Development.
- Proven experience responding to UK government/public-sector solicitations.
- Experience within the technology, IT services, cloud or technology consulting sector.
- Strong experience producing and managing complex written proposals.
- Experience working with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS or cloud-based technology solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Desirable
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft, ServiceNow, Oracle or similar cloud technologies.
- Experience with bid/proposal platforms such as Qvidian, RFPIO, Responsive, Loopio or similar.
- APMP or Shipley experience/certification.
- PMP or similar project management qualification.
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder public-sector bids.
