Robert Half has partnered with a growing services business to recruit for a Bid Manager.
About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced bid professional ready to take the next step in their career. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of bids from initial opportunity through to submission and contract award, working closely with commercial, operational, and finance teams.
The role would suit someone who has strong bid experience and is now looking to step into a broader role with greater ownership and responsibility. You will also have the opportunity to support and develop a junior member of the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage bids from opportunity qualification through to submission and award.
- Develop high-quality proposals in response to client requirements and tender specifications.
- Take ownership of bid writing and produce clear, compelling, and commercially focused content.
- Work with operational and finance teams to develop viable solutions and pricing.
- Manage bid plans, deadlines, and input from multiple stakeholders.
- Manage multiple bids at different stages of the pipeline.
- Support bid/no-bid decisions and maintain accurate pipeline information.
- Coordinate tender submissions, clarification questions, and e-tendering activity.
- Attend client meetings and support the transition of successful bids into delivery.
- Help develop and maintain bid content, case studies, and supporting materials.
- Support and mentor a junior member of the bid team.

About You
We are particularly interested in hearing from Bid Executives, Senior Bid Coordinators, Bid Specialists, or experienced Bid Professionals who are ready to step up into a Bid Manager position.

You should have:
- Strong experience within a bid, tender, or proposals environment.
- Excellent bid writing skills and the ability to create content independently.
- Experience working on formal tenders and procurement processes.
- Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of pricing, margins, and risk.
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and coordinating stakeholders.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and client contacts.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues would be beneficial.
Package
- Salary: £55,000
